Medieval South Africa
South Africa was once
inhabited by San people. At the beginning of the 15th century Bantu migrants entered
the
region & established large kingdoms. By the middle of the 15th century the Portuguese had
discovered & named
the Cape of Good Hope. By the middle of the 17th century the Dutch East
India Company had established a settlement
in Cape Town. Many Western Europeans migrated to
South Africa thus establishing large protestant settlements in
South Africa.
