Jordan was not to remain exclusively a center of Christianity, as it became part of the expansion of Islam in the 630's. Other nations would come to dominate Jordan including the Turks in the 11th century, theEuropean Crusaders, the Mongols in the 13th century & the Ottoman Empire from 1517 until the disintegration of this Empire after WWI.
