Medieval Cuba
In 1511 Cuba was
first colonized by Spanish soldier Diego Valazquez.
Spain used Cuba as a supply base and
launching point for other
inquisitions into the Americas.
During the 16th century black
slaves were brought in to replace the
almost extinct and greatly abused aboriginals.
