History of Cameroon
Cameroon was settled by the
São people 1000 years ago.Portuguese trading stations were set up along the coast
in
the 15th Century. The population fell dramatically
between the 15th & 19th Centuries,
because of slavery
from many European nations. Germany established a
protectorate on
Cameroon in 1884.
