Rise of Lenin
Karl Marx' theories on communism were
very vague but he promised a prosperous
living for all. In order to accomplish this, Marx
ascertained that temporary state control
measures were necessary. The Communist Party took
many of these suggestions to heart as they came
to power in Russia under V.I. Lenin who
provoked the Russian Revolution in 1917. This photograph features
Lenin's tomb in Red
Square. MORE!
