Feudalism
Feudalism was a closed economy based
on agriculture. Landowners known as lords allowed tenants to
farm on their land in return
for various goods and services. There were two ways in which the land
may be tenured. Free
tenure allows a tenant called a vassal to farm the land of his lord of his own
free will.
The plot the vassal farms may be passed on to his descendants. MORE!
