Opportunity Cost
When a choice is made, other choices may be foregone.
In economics, this
is called Opportunity Cost.
For example, when money is spent to purchase wares, less money
is available for future purchases.
So the true cost is not just the cost of the item bought,
but includes the lost opportunity to buy other items.
