Markets
The marketplace began as a gathering place for merchants and the buying public.
Primary
Vertical markets developed where primary producers (farmers and herdsmen) sold their
natural wares to others who fashioned products from them.
As populations expanded and demand
widened, other markets and layers of markets emerged.
There are 3 major markets: Product
Market (goods), Labour Market (labour services), and Capital Market (funds
raised and
transferred).
