The Chinese Economy
China has an economy that is a mixture between the capitalist (U.S.,
French and other "western"
nations) and communist (U.S.S.R., Mozambique and other "eastern"
nations) styles. Recent policy
in China has been to sell government owned companies to the
private sector. And regulations
on business operations have been greatly reduced. This has
allowed for economic freedom. However,
strong political and social restrictions are still in
maintained.
