The Canadian Economy
Canada has what is called a
'mixed' economy. This means that some aspects of the economy are run by
the government and
some (most in Canada) are run by private individuals. The government runs
the health system,
the CBC, airports, some parks, some mining and processing businesses and more. The
remaining
industries and services (grocery stores, computer manufacturers, massage parlours, and much
more) are owned and operated by private citizens.
