Ancinet Guatemala

Guatemala was once home to the great Mayan civilization. These Mayan ruins are found in Tikal, Guatemala. The classic Mayan period ran from the 3rd century to the 10th century. Through excavation some 3000 structures, including pyramids, have been uncovered in the largest Mayan city of Tikal. This city of 50 000 was abandoned during the 10th century for reasons unknown.
