Following the conquest of the Persian empire in the 4th century AD an independent state was established. Within that same century Christianity was established as Georgia's religion. The capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi, and the Georgian language date back to the 5th century AD. This old cliff-side chapel is found outside Tbilisi. [BM] {UA}
