Ancient Eritrea

The earliest inhabitants to enter the territory now known as Eritrea were believed to have migrated from the lush and well populated Nile valley. Located in the Horn of Africa on the shores of the Red Sea, Eritrea had an appealing location. Eritrea saw trading as early as 3000BC. By the 4th century Eritrea was part of the ancient Ethiopian kingdom of Aksum. [BM] {UA}
