The Persians who overthrew the last pharonic dynasty were themselves overthrown by the Alexandrian and the Ptolemaic Greek dynasties. Egypt was then ruled by the Byzantine Empire from the 3rd to the 7th centuries AD, until they too were overthrown by the Arabs. This is the Temple Precinct-Ramesseum. [BM] {UA}
