Purpose of the UN
"We the peoples of the United Nations determined..." And with those words the UN
was established in 1945.
The UN has several main purposes an international organization. To
maintain peace and security;
to develop friendly relations among nations based on respect;
to cooperate in solving international
problems; to be a center for harmonizing the actions
of nations.
