In the Northern Hemisphere, Autumn occurs from late September to late December. In the Southern Hemisphere, Autumn occurs from late March to late June. Autumn is characterized by decreasing hours of daylight, cooling temperatures and falling leaves from deciduous vegetation. It is commonly called Fall. Autumn ends Summer and leads into Winter.
