Ocean Currents
Water travels around the world's oceans in currents, generally following the pattern of the
prevailing winds which form them. The winds help to keep the currents moving in a steady
flow.
Ocean currents can be either warm or cold, depending on where they were formed. They
change the temperature of the air above them, bringing warm or cold air to places in their
path.
