Solar radiation is energy the Sun produces through nuclear fusion.
The Sun's energy reacts with the oceans and the atmosphere to produce Earth's winds. About one-third of the energy that reaches the outer atmosphere goes into the water cycle. Energy that reaches the oceans contributes to ocean currents.
