NAVAHO RUG The Navaho First Nations People are well known for their blankets and rugs. The blankets and rugs are woven on simple looms using widely spaced warp threads. The wool weft threads completely cover the warp threads producing a cloth that is firm and colourful. The blanket pictured here was woven using horizontal stripes in contrasting colours of wool.
