Colonial Coverlet Patterns The Colonial Coverlet pattern produces blocks of colour on woven cloth. This type of weaving pattern was very popular for bed coverings known as coverlets.

Weavers could arrange the pattern blocks in many different ways. Although these patterns look very complicated the actual structure of the weave is relatively simple.
