Fibres
Weaving is the result of needed containers, clothing and protective coverings for walls and
floors.
Materials were twisted, knotted, looped and twined to create these necessities.
Weaving on a loom developed later to make textiles.
Today many hand-weavers work to create
unique fabrics using fibres and looms.
This woven Navajo blanket was made in 1805.
