Colour
This colourful painting, Improvisation XXVI (Rowing) , was created by Kandinsky in 1933.
The many colours in this
painting are also called hues (eg.
red is a hue).
One is able to see colour, light or dark, by the reflection or saturation of
light.
When white is added to a colour, that colour will be bright as it reflects much light.
If there is no white added to
a colour, it is considered pure and will saturate much light.
