What is Sculpture?

Sculpture is three-dimensional artwork. A person who creates sculpture is called a sculptor. Some sculptors produce artwork by carving specially selected materials such as marble and soapstone. Clay and other materials that can be moulded by the hands of the sculptor are also used. Any materials that can be constructed or arranged by the hands of the artist can be transformed into sculpture. Sculptures are either Freestanding or Relief, i.e. created on some surface.
