Jasper Johns
Jasper Johns (born 1930) was one of the pioneers of pop art.
He took common things that are
often overlooked and forced the viewer to look at them. His subject matter included familiar
objects such as maps, flags, numbers maps, targets, and other familiar objects.

He would draw these objects in such a way that he raises the questions that go beyond the boundaries
of the movement. Eventually he got the viewers to consider what the difference between image
and reality was.
