Einsturzende Neubauten
In 1982 in Germany, a band by the name of Einsturzende Neubauten (meaning "new building collapsing") released an album of the Industrial nature.
This time however, instead of snippets there were jackhammers, cement mixers, torches, tools, along with standard rock music instruments.
Added to this was the lead singers dramatic style of temper-tantrum-as-performance.
They were neo-terrorists, who were known for starting fires in the venues they played.
Industrial music had taken a literal turn.
As it often can be with new styles, after the initial shock of novelty wears off, there can be a slump in popularity.
From 1983-84, Industrial music was at it's lowest point.
