Cymbals

Cymbals are made from a single piece of brass, slightly concave in shape, which are mounted on a pole which lets them ring freely when hit. As it is with other instruments, percussion devices may be tuned (like timpani or a drum kit) but some may be classified as untuned (triangle, wood block, whistles, cymbals, and gong). [AW] {NR}
