Fantasy
Fantasy (also spelled phantasy) is imaginative fiction dependent for effect on strangeness
of setting, such as other worlds or time periods, and of characters, such as supernatural or
unnatural beings. Fantasy is set in an imaginary world and features the magic of mythical
beings.

Common characters in this genre include dragons, elves, ghosts, and magicians.
Fantasy is a common element in children's literature: J.R.R. Tolkien's The
Hobbit, Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, and C.S. Lewis' The Lion, the
Witch, and the Wardrobe are all examples of children’s literature.
