Drama

Drama is defined as; a composition, in prose or poetry, accommodated to action, and intended to exhibit a picture of human life, or to depict a series of grave or humorous actions of more than ordinary interest, tending toward some striking result. It is commonly designed to be spoken and represented by actors on the stage. [RA] {DC}
The classification "drama" refers to both plays or scripts (that are acted out) and any type of writing that involves conflicts or suspense and builds to a climax. A dramatic work may be entirely based on imagined people, places, and events (i.e. fiction), or it may be based on facts (i.e. non-fiction). [AM] {CL}
