Hieroglyphics on wall at Kom Ombo, Egypt Ancient Egyptian theatre, which dates back to 3500BC, stems from religious ceremonies. Priests would wear animal head masks to help them impersonate the gods. Chanting and dancing would take place while they acted out mythological stories. These ritual-dramas were performed to ensure fertility, knowledge and prosperity, and to teach religious myths. These story telling hieroglyphics are found on the wall at Kom Ombo, Egypt. [AL] {BR}
