Pedro Calderon
Pedro Calderon de la Barca was a great Spanish playwright during the first half of the 17th Century.
His plays were part of the Baroque style of theatre, which used elaborate scenery and effects.
Calderon wrote nearly 200 plays during his career.
He was a very philosophical writer.
The idea that "all the world is a stage" came from his play El gran teatro del mundo (The Great Theatre of the World), written in 1635.
This baroque house in Prague still has an original mural.
