John Dryden
John Dryden (Aug. 19, 1631 - May 1, 1700) was a poet and playwright whose influence
dominated the Restoration Period of English Literature in the late 17th Century.
Dryden was considered a great playwright in both comedy and heroic drama.
His best-known play was "All for Love" written in 1677. The actor in this photograph is Albert Finney.
