Pyramid Interiors
The Pyramids were large in size and made of massive stone. The combinations of these two
features provided permanence and at the same time a home for the ka, which provided
immortality for the Pharaoh in the afterlife.

The burial chamber was located near the centre
of the structure. The pyramid contained a grand gallery, which was located in the tunnel
before the burial chamber. Pyramids also contained so-called Queen's chambers, which were
located below the King's chamber. Quite often, pyramids would be robbed. In order to prevent
this they contained a false tomb chamber which was located underground. This misguided
thieves because in the first pyramids that was where the King's chamber was located.
